Black Widow managed to grab two nominations, and this includes the Best Hero nomination for Johansson along with “Black Widow vs. Widows” scene for Best Fight. Best Fight ultimately went to “Cassie vs. Maddy” for Euphoria, but it was still a great night for Johansson....

The Sci Fi channel has resurrected the dormant action pilot Painkiller Jane, according to Production Weekly. The series is a superhero actioner about a young Marine officer with self-healing powers and Sci Fi has ordered 22 one-hour episodes more than a year after the pilot was shot. John Harrison (Dune), Don Opper and Greg Gold wrote Painkiller Jane, based on Joe Quesada and Jim Palmiotti’s Event Comic, revolves around a young Marine officer exposed to a biochemical weapon that endows her with self-healing powers....

Fox has renewed mystery-adventure series Sleepy Hollow for a third season, it was announced today by David Madden, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. Television producer Clifton Campbell has signed on as executive producer and showrunner. Here’s what Fox president David Madden had to say in a statement. Campbell joins the series after serving as creator and executive producer of The Glades and co-executive producer on White Collar. In an interview discussing his role on ABC’s Lost, Matthew Fox gave Entertainment Weekly some information about his role as Racer X in the upcoming Speed Racer. Fox was always a cartoon, comic book and anime fan, but knew nothing about Speed Racer before his name was mentioned as being up for the role of Racer X. “So when I found out that the Wachowskis were doing Speed Racer and were interested in me for it, I immediately went on the Internet, and as soon as I saw Racer X, I was like, I think that looks like me....

PARAMOUNT, VIACOM GET POUNDED AGAIN Michael Nathanson of Sanford C. Bernstein Media has become the latest analyst to issue a stinging appraisal of Viacom management, in this instance focusing on the operations of Paramount. Although the studio is ranked No. 2 among the Hollywood majors, Nathanson notes that much of its box-office success comes from third-party distribution deals with Marvel and DreamWorks Animation. Without them, Paramount would rank no higher than fifth, Nathanson observes....
