Fire Bay, the first U.S. feature film about the history-changing Bay of Pigs Operation, has added Academy Award nominated actor Robert Forster to play General Dawkins, joining an all-star international cast and crew. Randall Fried (New Line’s Heaven is a Playground) is set to direct from his original screenplay. Production will commence July 16 and will shoot in Mexico and the Dominican Republic. The film’s arena is the Bay of Pigs Operation, as seen through the eyes of its CIA War Planners, the Cuban Exile Brigade who battled overwhelming Castro forces to the end, and the shell-shocked Kennedy White House....

We’ll still have to wait and see what happens with Willow, the Disney+ series that serves as a continuation of the original movie, but for Ron Howard, the clear hope is that season 2 will soon be announced. After directing the original Willow movie released in 1988, Howard came back on board for the follow-up series to serve as an executive producer. The show premiered in November and wrapped up its first season earlier this month....

Veteran British actor Roy Dotrice, who starred in the Best Picture winner Amadeus as Leopold Mozart and had a brief two-episode arc on HBO’s Game of Thrones, passed away earlier today at the age of 94. The veteran character actor was surrounded by his three daughters, grandchildren and his great grandson when he died at his London home this morning. Roy Dotrice was also a member of the Royal Air Force, who caught the “acting bug” in quite the unconventional manner....

That famous diner scene in Pulp Fiction was originally scripted to imagine an alternate outcome for the fate of the two robbers. In the beginning of the film, Pumpkin (Tim Roth) and Honey Bunny (Amanda Plummer) are shown drawing firearms in the middle of a crowded restaurant before demanding money from all of the patrons. This kicks off the story with some excitement as the opening credits roll while the film’s iconic theme song plays....

Alexander Polinsky played Adam Powell on the 1980s TV series Charles in Charge alongside Scott Baio. Now the 43-year old actor is trying to get ahold of Baio to discuss the “physical, mental, verbal & sexual abuse” that he possibly suffered at the hands of Baio. Polinsky has been tweeting at the actor and asking others to spread the message so that he can get in contact with Scott Baio and discuss what they “talked on the phone about a few years ago....

During Syfy’s presentation of Torchwood: Miracle Day they previewed new footage from the upcoming series. Check it out below. Torchwood begins with a day when nobody dies. All across the world, nobody dies. And then the next day, and the next, and the next, people keep aging, they get hurt and sick, but they never die. The result: a population boom, overnight. With all the extra people, resources are finite. It’s said that in four month’s time, the human race will cease to be viable....

Two recent classics will make their way to 1080p this May. Seabiscuit and Inside Man will both be released on Blu-ray on May 26. 5 Unbroken Legendary Pictures Co-written by the Coen brothers and directed by Angelina Jolie, Unbroken documents the trials and tribulations of US Olympian turned WWII soldier Louis Zamperini, and the hardships he faced in a Japanese prisoner of war camp and at the hands of the tyrannical Corporal Mutsuhiro Watanabe. Through a vast degree of valor and a composed, steadfast approach toward his captor’s torment, Zamperini (Jack O’Connell), clings on for salvation from those in the American air force....

Once again, Sonic the Hedgehog is the king of the box office. With the premiere of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in theaters, the sequel has pulled in a domestic haul of $71 million at the box office. This by far solidifies the speedster’s sequel as the No. 1 movie at the box office, putting it above the No. 2 movie, Morbius, by about $60 million. This is the strong opening that Paramount had been expecting for Sonic 2, justifying their plans to move forward with more sequels and a Knuckles spinoff series....

FX has renewed its critically acclaimed hit drama Sons of Anarchy for a fourth season, placing a 13-episode order from Fox 21 and FX Productions, announced John Landgraf, President and General Manager, FX Networks. Eight all-new episodes remain in Sons of Anarchy’s current third season airing Tuesdays at 10pm et/pt, and beginning in two weeks the encore runs will air Tuesdays at 11pm and 1am, Fridays at 10pm and Sundays at 10pm....

Last year, one of the internet’s favorite fan theories revolved around Jean-Ralphio (Ben Schwartz) from Parks and Recreation and Steve Harrington (Joe Keery) from Netflix’s Stranger Things. CRITICS NOT INVITED TO PROM NIGHT You won’t be reading any reviews for it, but Sony Screen Gems’s horror flick Prom Nightis the favorite among box-office analysts to win this weekend’s movie competition. Today’s (Friday) Los Angeles Timesreported that tracking surveys indicate that the film will take in $18-22 million, about the same as it cost to produce. The likely No. 2 film, according to the analysts, is the Keanu Reeves-Forest Whitaker drama Street Kings,which analysts figure will bring in $10-12 million....

DC FanDome is holding its second event with “Explore the Multiverse” today. DC dropped a boatload of digital panels highlighting TV shows, comics, movies and more.
