NEW WB SHOW: EDITED ON AIR, UNCENSORED ON WEBThe WB plans to present an unedited version of the pilot episode of its new series The Bedford Diaries that network censors decided to cut following the FCC’s decisions to fine broadcasters for what it deemed to be indecent programs, the New York Timesreported today (Thursday). According to the newspaper, network chairman Garth Ancier contacted the show’s producer, Tom Fontana, after the FCC decision and asked him to remove a number of scenes from the show....

NIGHTLINE REVAMP UNVEILED ABC on Monday confirmed long-circulating reports that beginning Nov. 28 the departing Ted Koppel will be replaced on Nightline with a troika, composed of Martin Bashir, Cynthia McFadden and Terry Moran, and that the show’s staff will be split between New York and Washington units. Although James Goldston, the show’s new executive producer, said in a statement that it was “incumbent upon us to find a slightly different approach” following Koppel’s departure, the team approach is similar to that of the network’s magazine shows....

Sullivan Stapleton and Philip Winchester will return for Season 2 of Cinemax’s hit action series Strike Back, which will shoot ten new episodes on location in South Africa starting in January for debut later in 2012. Rhashan Stone and Michelle Lukes will also return for the new season. Debuting its first-season finale Oct. 21, the series began an encore run on Cinemax Oct. 28 (10:00 p.m. ET/PT), presenting an episode each Friday night....

Go-Big Show, the talent show on TBS for insane abilities, is returning for a second season this January. TBS has recently revealed the trailer for the upcoming season of the larger-than-life talent show, promising even more spectacle than the first one. The premise of Go-Big Show is to showcase supersized talents on a scale never before seen on television, usually death-defying stunts. Season 2 has a lot planned and will keep viewers at the edge of their seats with underwater escape artists, bull jumpers, and incredible feats of strength, to trick riders and world record holders....

Director Juan Carlos Fresnadillo has stepped away from The Crow remake for Relativity Media. It isn’t clear why the director has departed from the project. We reported last month that Juan Carlos Fresnadillo may take over Highlander for Universal, but it seems that is not a factor in why the filmmaker left The Crow. It is also said that F. Javier Gutierrez is being considered to replace Juan Carlos Fresnadillo....

Robert Rodriguez and producer Alexander Rodnyansky are teaming up for a sequel to 2010’s Machete that is currently titled Machete Kills. The film is the second in a planned trilogy. Danny Trejo is in talks to reprise the title role. Robert Rodriguez expects many of the original cast to return. A script has been written by Kyle Ward. “The fan response to the Machete character has been fanatical since his first appearance,” Robert Rodriguez said....

Scooby-Doo’s franchise debuted in 1969, airing Scooby-Doo, Where Are You!, its first animated series, created by Joe Ruby and Ken Spears for Hanna-Barbera Productions. We are introduced to Daphne and Fred, who are among two other teenagers and one dog. The entire group constitutes Shaggy Rogers, Velma Dinkley, Fred Jones, Daphne Blake, and Scooby-Doo, their talking dog. Along with our golden coins, we were given an HP thumb drive containing a digital animation gif full of HTML codes and numbers that all leads to a new viral game that will be played out at Comic-Con 2009. Check out Andrew Garfield’s surprise appearance as The Amazing Spider-Man in Hall H at Comic-Con 2011. During the panel, Sony Pictures also confirmed that a CGI Lizard will be Spider-man’s foe in the movie. A description from AICN describes the Lizard: “They confirmed the Lizard is the big baddie and showed us quite a bit of footage, including some mid-way transformation (looked good, real make-up, etc) and some full on Lizard action, which wasn’t as thrilling....
