Further Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse details have now been teased and reveal that Oscar Isaac’s Miguel O’Hara aka Spider-Man 2099, will play a leading role in the animated sequel. Coming courtesy of Empire Magazine, writer Phil Lord revealed that Spider-Man 2099 will be the one to take charge of the rag-tag band of Spider-Variants as they attempt to fix the madness of the multiverse. And it will be no easy task....

The Star Wars franchise is a long-running science fiction franchise that features a number of films, TV shows, books, and video games. Since 1977, Star Wars has reigned supreme as one of the most popular science fiction galaxies, revolving around the Skywalker family and the order of Force-wielders known as the Jedi. The actor passed away on September 11th and is known internationally for shaping the breakout role of Spartacus, during the first season of the STARZ Original series Spartacus: Blood and Sand . Yesterday, a Stranger Things crew member named Peyton Brown, who worked as a grip on Stranger Things Season 1, came forward on social media, accusing Stranger Things creators Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer of being verbally abusive on the set. While the creators and showrunners were not accused of any sexual misconduct, they were said to be verbally abusive to the women on the set. While the Duffer Brothers weren’t named in Brown’s original Instagram post, she identified the Duffer Brothers in Instagram comments that were later deleted....

MOVIES COMING OUT LIKE EASTER BUNNIES Theater owners are expecting that many of their screening rooms will be divided into those for boys and those for girls over the Easter weekend, as Hannah Montana: The Movie takes on last week’s big winner, Fast and Furious. Many analysts are betting on the boys’ film, although Hannah Montanahas reportedly been selling more tickets on Internet ticketing sites throughout the week. It is opening in 3,118 theaters....

APPLE ON THE AIR? Apple is considering joining the bidding for the wireless spectrum being abandoned by television broadcasters in 2009, using it to deliver movies, television programs, music and other entertainment to handheld devices like its iPhone and iPod products, BusinessWeekreported Monday, citing two unnamed sources. Signals in the TV spectrum, it observed, could provide faster download speeds than ordinary Wi-Fi and free Apple from having to rely on its partnership with AT&T to provide wireless services to users of its devices, the magazine observed....

The CW Network has issued three pilot orders for iZombie, which comes from Veronica Mars creator Rob Thomas, the Supernatural spin-off entitled Supernatural: Tribes and the Arrow spin-off The Flash. All three projects were expected to get pilot orders, with the network making it official today. We first reported on iZombie back in November, when it was revealed that Rob Thomas is writing the pilot script with his Veronica Mars movie co-writer Diane Ruggiero....

The Amazing Race, winner of five consecutive Emmy Awards for Outstanding Reality Competition Series, returns for its 12th edition on the CBS Television Network, Sunday, Nov. 4 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT). The show replaces Viva Las Vegas which has been pulled from the schedule. “If there ever was a season that I consider one of the best, it’s this one,” said Bertram van Munster," executive producer, director and co-creator of The Amazing Race....

FX will post the most recent episode of The Americans (aired on Wednesday, April 3) on FXNetworks.com for encore online viewing due to an error by its publicity department (VOD.FXNetworks.com) Last night’s ninth episode of The Americans, “Safe House”, aired from 10:00 to 11:07 PM ET/PT. The correct listings information was not properly disseminated to television listings services that provide information to media outlets, cable and satellite providers. As a result of the error, electronic guides which trigger the run times of DVRs incorrectly recorded the total running time of one hour (10:00-11:00 PM ET/PT), therefore cutting off the final seven minutes of the episode....

When it comes to science fiction cinema, it’s generally thought that the 1970s or 1980s were the decades in which the genre really took off, so to speak. We may be partial to the ’70s, with its Star Wars and its Alien. Or we may, following Gizmodo, fawn over the ’80s - Blade Runner, The Terminator, and so much more. But both of these decades owe something to the more modest, unassuming sci-fi of the ‘60s....

The Good Paul Walker and director Wayne Kramer do a very good job keeping us entertained. The Bad I found the plot to be a tad confusing. Running Scared is a somewhat convoluted tale of the mob, thugs and a man trying to control a situation that is boiling out of control. I found the plot to be filled with zigs and zags, and while I was confused at times, I think that for director Wayne Kramer that was the point....

The actor behind Doomsday on the hit CW series gives us some hints about what to expect in the show’s eighth season. For the first seven seasons, Clark Kent’s main nemesis on Smallville has been Lex Luthor. With Michael Rosenbaum departing the series, the producers have brought not just one new villain in, but two, in the form of Tess Mercer (Cassidy Freeman) and Doomsday (Sam Witwer). I had the opportunity to talk to Sam Witwer over the phone to discuss Davis Bloome, his supervillain alter-ego, and what we could expect to see this season....

Sarah Silverman is now part of the ensemble cast in Maestro, Bradley Cooper’s directorial follow-up to 2018’s A Star Is Born, Deadline reports. Silverman is known for her roles in Wreck-it Ralph, School of Rock, and The Sarah Silverman Program. Recently she’s had roles in Don’t Look Up, the movie about a giant comet approaching Earth, and Space Jam: A New Legacy, a sequel to the 1996 film. On April 8th, director James Wong is bringing the hugely popular Dragon Ball cartoon to life with his live action adaptation Dragonball Evolution. Originally based on the Dragon Ball Z television series, this new incarnation follows the plight of popular anime character Goku (Justin Chatwin) as he ventures from childhood into adult hood. At his dying grandfather’s request, the young fighter must find the great Master Roshi and help him collect all seven mystical Dragon Balls before they fall into the evil hands of Lord Piccolo....

Filmmaker Shane Abbess (Gabriel) has been hired to direct 7th Day for producer Martha De Laurentiis. Source Code screenwriter Ben Ripley is writing the script, which is based on an original idea he concocted with Shane Abbess. The story centers on a journey to create a new colony in outer space. The project is described as The Shining on a space station. Martha De Laurentiis will produce along with Shane Abbess....

Here we are at what would have been the series cliffhanger for Smallville had the WGA strike not ended. And based on the previews, this episode will have Clark and Kara coming up against not one Luthor but both of them, as well as Braniac. And, if the blurb on the CW is to be believed, Kara will teach Clark to fly. So, let’s see how well Veritas lives up to its hype....
